EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Our centers care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 yrs (VPK) and operate to NAEYC guidelines. Classes have low ratios and cater to a multi-ethnic population needing a quality program to be ready for school. Centers are open Monday-Friday, year round.  Positions are full-time, 40 hours per week.  We use Teaching Strategies, Creative Curriculum, and Conscious Discipline materials and methodology.   Experience with these is a plus.  Training is also provided.

All Full-time Employees are offered:

CURRENT OPENINGS -

Center Director, Children of the World Preschool, St Petersburg (posted 6/5/17):  Center has been in operation for over 25 years and has an excellent staff and program.  Current Director has been promoted, hence the vacancy now.  CWP is located in St Petersburg on 62nd Ave N, and cares for 2s - VPK ages from a wide range of cultures and nationalities.  Successful applicant will have a minimum Bachelor's Degree with CDA, plus current Director Credentials with VPK endorsement. Knowledge and adherence to Licensing regulations a must.  Familiarity with federal Childcare Food Program, Teaching Strategies and Conscious Discipline a plus.  Exceptional staff management and organizational skills needed.  Candidates who meet the above criteria plus experience will be considered first.

2's Teacher, St Petersburg (posted 7/14/17):  Minimum Bachelor's Degree, DCF 45 clock hours and School Readiness Pre-serviced training, three (3) years experience preferred.  Ability to pass Level 2 and Local Background Screening plus employment history checks for previous 5 years (when conducted by agency upon hire).

Classroom Aides, Clearwater & St Petersburg (posted 7/14/17):  Minimum HS Diploma.  Current CDA/FCCPC or Staff Credential Verification.  DCF 45 clock hours.  Ability to pass Level 2 and Local Background Screenings plus employment history checks for previous 5 years (when conducted by agency upon hire).

Support Aides, Clearwater & St Petersburg (posted 7/14/17) :  Support Aides must meet the minimum qualifications of Classroom Aides.  This position is suited to someone who enjoys rotating between ages and classrooms as required to meet the needs of the center, and as instructed by the Center Director.
